This talented singer and songwriter, earned attention as one of the six (6) finalist on the 4th season of Synergy Tv Soca Star 2009 (Trinidad). Placing 4th in the competition, La Borde saw an opportunity to use her experience to her great advantage and is ready to conquer the world with her vocal abilities.   Ayanna La Borde started singing since the tender age of 10, in the genre of R&B and Gospel music. Her introduction to Soca music came about in the year 2008 with her first recorded tune ‘In D Mood’, a collaboration with the famous Soca artiste Ziggy Ranking. Ayanna has a special love for both R&B and Soca music, however with her versatility she is able to execute any genre of music that may come her way. La Borde who is pretty familiar with the competitive arena, started entering competitions at the age of 15. She was a past contestant of ‘Scouting for Talent’ and ‘Soundstage’ back in the years 2003 and 2004. Long before entering competitions, La Borde attended Mon Repos RC Elementary School, this is where she started singing at the age of 10. She recalled. “Even though I was a shy kid, nearly every morning I was placed in front of the entire school to sing, during morning devotions”, she then said, “Back then my singing abilities were discovered by my past elementary school teacher”   In the year 2006 La Borde was awarded a trophy for the most outstanding vocalist in a musical, held by Presentation College Mix Choir. After being apart of the musical production, La Borde then took a long break period from the singing arena and later on decided to redeem herself in the field of singing by the year 2008. With the support and encouragement of her parents Joan Parris and Goslyn La Borde, she was ready to get back on track.   With all her career opportunities in mind, La Borde knows that she can do it all and is gearing towards making her mark in the music world.
