Shaakir ‘Turbo’ Griffith, originally
from Belmont, Trinidad, is a freestyle
dancer, choreographer and teacher.
He started dancing at the age of 18
and since then has been a part of
productions in different genres such
as hip hop, dancehall, ballet, folk and
latin, to name a few.
With a strong influence from his
background in music and material
arts he comes with his own special
twist added to the foundations of any
style of dance.
This makes Shaakir one of the most
sorted out dancer/choreographer
in Trinidad. He is currently a dance
teacher at primary and secondary
schools around the country and is
also the choreographer and director
for the schools’ graduations, sports
and extra-curricular productions.
Turbo is also the lead dancer and
choreographer for Machel Montano,
as well as the founder of Zerolimits
Plus Entertainment Company and
dance crew.
