eet a y ar er Tammy Barber officially joined the OMA team this semester! Tammy is the Assistant irector of Intercultural Services and aides with everything OMA does! She is an Indiana native and very excited to join the Office. She s been with Manchester for four years and previously worked as the IT irector at osciusko Community Hospital. Tammy spends her leisure time with her adorable grandkids and, when the sun is out, makes sure to take her boat out on the water. She s been very hands-on with the International air this year, excitedly involved in many of the moving gears of the Office. Make sure to say hey when you see Tammy on campus! ote from Tammy As the new Assistant irector of Intercultural Services in the Office of Multicultural Affairs, I feel privileged to work with so many amazing students, staff, and faculty. The best part of my job is making sure our international students feel that MU is their home away from home, that they always feel welcome and supported, and know they have someone advocating for their needs and wants during their time at MU. This academic year has flown by - I cannot believe we are just days away from commencement and, although I don’t wish to speed up time, there is a part of me that is over-the-top excited that we are that much closer to moving into the Jean Childs Young Intercultural Center. Although many of us will be sad to leave the current Center, we will all work together to make the new one just as special and comfortable as the Center as always been to us. Here’s to moving onto summer where on my spare time you can find me enjoying my boat on the waters of Lake Manitou with my family and friends. Be safe and be happy! 9
