OMAzing: Manchester University Office of Multicultural Affairs Spring 2018 - Page 7
The Manchester University International air is a biannual event held in April, that brings together the
diversity of the University and community to celebrate the rich array of cultures and experiences in the world.
Through music, food, and exhibits, participants are treated to an exciting, action-packed afternoon meant to
be interactive, immersive, and entertaining.
Many exhibits feature enticing samples of delicious dishes prepared
by our students in the premises of the University’s state inspected kitchen
and under the supervision of our dining personnel. There are also
exhibits to showcase the vast array of international options available in
the orth Manchester and the surrounding communities.
This free entrance event, that attracts
visitors from places far and near,
has been a hallmark of University
community integration and cooperation,
while intentionally igniting much needed
dialogues that break racial, ethnic, language,
and national boundaries.
The main stage features music and demonstrations that are tantalizingly
contagious and interactive, performed by authentic and renowned
groups that together represent a global taste.
