Bittersweet
This semester is bittersweet in a number of ways. Some of the best things about
this semester come by way of our programming including celebrating the th
Anniversary of ev. r. Martin Luther ing’s last visit to a college campus
happened at Manchester, then, College . e celebrated another successful
iteration of the International air, celebrating the diversity and culture present in this
community. e welcomed a new staff addition to the family in Tammy Barber
Assistant irector of Intercultural Services SO , and we also saw Manchester
University International Association recognized as Student Organization of the Year
at the annual Student Leadership eception in April.
This semester we say oodbye to several of our international friends we’ve had at the Center for a short period
of time or those who have spent their undergraduate career with us. It is also the time we close the chapter in
the book of the Intercultural Center and begin to write a new one. This is the last semester we will spend at the
. College Ave address and move to the
. College Avenue address at the beginning of the
-
academic year. To sum up all of this in a phrase, I would say Sweet ndings, ew Beginnings.
e hope you enjoy this issue of OMAzing. Looking forward to the memories we will create in the new Jean
Childs Young Intercultural Center starting all
. Be on the look out for an official invitation for the edication
happening at Homecoming on September ,
.
