Old Dominion University Vice President Communiqué July 2014

July 10, 2014 Vice President Communiqué Good Afternoon SEES, The summer is in full swing, and I hope you take some time from your busy schedule to enjoy a bit of sunshine. Iʼm excited to share a few highlights of some of the things happening across SEES! WELCOME INSTITUTIONAL RESEARCH The Office of Institutional Research has recently joined SEES. This unit offers strategic planning and data-based decision-making to the University while providing reporting of enrollment, student characteristics, and other data to the state and federal government and non-government agencies. We are delighted to welcome Institutional Research to the Division. Join me in welcoming our newest members to the SEES family! SEES ON THE MOVE Summer renovations of Rollins Hall will impact several units. While these renovations will not impact the quality of our service delivery, where we provide key services to students, alumni and ODU faculty and staff will be changed temporarily. Letʼs work together to support our Rollins Hall staff by spreading the word to students about these new locations. The office phone numbers will remain the same. • Phase 1 of the Rollins Hall began moving on June 30. • Staff from Financial Aid, Registrarʼs Office, and Student Accounts will provide services on the first floor of Perry Library in room 1208. This collection of resources will be referred to as “Enrollment Services.” • Students seeking information about Admissions should contact or visit the Future Monarch Center in Webb. • The staff from Financial Aid, Graduate Admissions, Undergraduate Admissions, and Customer Service will be located on 48th and 49th Street in houses formerly occupied by Human Resources and Writing Center. • Personnel from the Registrarʼs Office will be relocated to Rollins Hall on the second floor. Visitors should enter from the front doors facing Hampton Blvd. • All moves will be in effect from July 2014 until about May/June 2015.
