Little Big Twang is a dynamic musical group celebrated for its distinctive fusion of folk, bluegrass, and Western twang. With a sound that honors the rich traditions of American roots music while injecting fresh energy and modern flair, the band has been steadily building a loyal following through engaging live performances at venues across the country. Drawing deeply from traditional bluegrass and folk influences, Little Big Twang creates intricate instrumental arrangements paired with heartfelt lyrics and harmonies that resonate with both longtime roots enthusiasts and newer audiences alike.

Their music evokes a timeless quality while embracing innovation, making each performance a unique and captivating experience.
The band features a lineup of highly accomplished musicians whose combined talents define their signature sound. Darren Wilcox, the group’ s singer, songwriter, and bassist, is also known for his work with the acclaimed bluegrass band Special Consensus. Fiddler Shelby Eicher brings a wealth of experience and recognition to the group, including induction into the prestigious National Fiddler Hall of Fame. Guitarist Kentucky White, who also serves as the Executive Director of the International Bluegrass Music Association( IBMA), lends his mastery to the mix. Rounding out the ensemble is singer-songwriter and guitarist Robin Macy, who brings her rich background performing with various groups to the collective sound.
In recent months, Little Big Twang has
captivated audiences in venues such as Walker’ s Jazz Lounge in Wichita, Kansas; College Hill Coffee in Winfield, Kansas; and Walker’ s in San Antonio, Texas, where they performed as part of the Winfield Warmup event. Each show highlights their vibrant stage presence and their ability to connect deeply with audiences, encouraging participation and creating memorable experiences.
As the band continues to grow and evolve, they are poised to reach broader audiences while maintaining their dedication to preserving traditional musical elements. The brainchild of Byron Berline, OIBF was first held on October 9, 10 and 11 in 1997. Ticket sales, auction proceeds and donations continue to fund youth musician scholarships.
