T he unique Steelwind sound originates from co-songwriters Blake Parks and Michael Henneberry . For over 12 years they have been writing songs , singing and playing music together .
Throughout the years their music has progressed into a recognizable blend of tight harmonies and bluegrass instrumentation with Blake Parks on fiddle , Henneberry on guitar , Joel Parks on banjo , Becca Parks on mandolin , Adam Davis on dobro , and Kenny Parks on bass . With brother harmonies , a talented female vocalist , and heartfelt lyrics , their vocals elevate their sound . Family Band Carries Multiple Generations of Bluegrass Tradition
brings out the emotions of happiness , excitement , and of course being blue … These young musicians create a fun show as they share their original songs and bluegrass favorites with music lovers .
Steelwind has played with the likes of Darrel Scott , Tony Rice , The SteelDrivers , and Asleep at the Wheel to name a few . From playing intimate listening rooms to major festivals , these young and talented musicians bring a fresh sound to the bluegrass world .

T his is a new endeavor for these five musicians . The band includes two brothers , a brother and sister , and four are cousins – quite a family band ! They started playing with their fathers and uncles when they were in their teens near Atoka and haven ’ t quit .
Olie Bonham and his brothers Orville and Ben made up the original Bonham Brothers band . Orville at 15 was the oldest . Orville ’ s sons Glen and Virgil started playing with him when they were teenagers .
“ We would play before going to school and after we got home from school ,” Virgil said of their practice schedule . “ Dad taught us that people pay for quality music from quality musicians so that has been our goal from early on .”
Glen and Virgil Bonham have worked with Bill Grant , Delia Bell and the Kiamichi Mountain Boys , Signal Mountain , The Bonham Brothers and The Bonham Revue . They have traveled to Germany , Canada and all over the east coast .
The band has recorded multiple records between them . David Bonham worked with the legendary Bluegrass Revue which included Vince Gill . Tina and David for a stretch of time worked together in a variety of gospel groups with Tina playing the bass .
Tina has one of the purest and strongest vocals that has hit bluegrass music . Mickey Flatt is one of the finest of the traditional banjo players showing that he is influenced by Scruggs and Osborne , two of the greatest . He has worked with many groups over the years .
“ They ’ ve been a mainstay of bluegrass music in Oklahoma for many years ,” said the late Byron Berline , a three-time national fiddle champion and founder of Guthrie ’ s Oklahoma International Bluegrass Festival . “ Bluegrass music is America ’ s music , the original stuff .
