Limited Time Only,

As we begin our honey bee adventure we have tried a few combinations, with our small Certified Naturally Grown crops this was easy to accomplish. We wanted to try and grow buckwheat we planted it next to our flax and chia seed crops. So we have a very bold very dark honey that has a molasses flavor and aroma.

Our research has told us that Buckwheat honey is dark honey in general and has been found to contain more antioxidant compounds then lighter honeys. Antioxidants counter the toxic effects of free radicals that can lead to cancer, arthritis and cancer. Polyphenol, the antioxidants that are present in honey are one of the chemicals which give honey its color. Apart from antioxidants, darker honeys tend to contain more vitamins and minerals.

Our research also shows buckwheat honey to be more effective than over-the-counter cough syrup for treating a cough.

Our Buckwheat and Flax honey can be a substitute for molasses in baking or barbecue sauce recipes. Honey has been used since ancient times for its health benefits and is used as a sweetener and flavoring for foods and drinks. It is a healthy alternative to table sugar.
