DEAD END RALLY

NNNNN

If you travel to the Kansas-Oklahoma state line , to a town called Peru , you might meet a wonderful lady named Debbie Salsman who can tell you of all the excitement her town has to offer , but the greatest , in her opinion , is the Dead End Rally held twice a year , Thursday - Sunday , June 8-11 and October 6-9 . On the first day of these rallies , they host family night where all ages are welcome to attend with free admission and a cookout , a deejay and karaoke and lots of fun games ( and alcohol available to purchase for the adults ).
When the clock strikes midnight , it becomes 21 and over for the rest of the rally . Admission for the adult rally is only $ 20 per person for the entire weekend with free primitive camping including complimentary firewood and burn barrels . Bring your coolers ( no glass containers ), but they have beer tents and alcohol from the Dead End Saloon available as well . Debbie tells us that it is some of the most beautiful land around - ponds , lots of shade , and it even overlooks a gorgeous valley .
This rally is for the laid back enthusiast that wants a low-key rally . Don ' t sell it short on the fun factor however . There
are activities going on almost the entire time : enter your bike for the people ' s choice bike show , and display a little torque action with the big bad burn out pit . All vehicles are welcome and there are RV plug ins for $ 25 a night . They have shower houses and portable bathroom facilities on site so you aren ’ t too primitive . Your weekend pass will get you total access to two nights of live music provided by " Without Warning " on Friday , and " New Dynasty " on Saturday , people games and bike games ( including a build-your-own bikini contest , a wet T-shirt contest , a tire drag , barrel races , a wienie bite , the butt dart , a cherry bite , the slow race , a double slow race , an in house poker hand , 50 / 50 , a raffle and more ). On the final day of the rally , there will be a horse shoe competition so don ' t leave too early . Win a plaque for any game and have bragging rights for life .
Dead End Rally is just five miles north of the Oklahoma state line , at 2776 Gallop Rd in Peru , Kansas , it started in 1999 and is still going strong today and they also have MAMR-Rules Mud Runs on June 17 and September 30 so come and get acquainted .
