The 7th Offshore Jack Up Middle east ( OJME ) 2019 , conference took place on October 7-8 in Dubai , UAe . The conference was attended by more than 150 delegates from 15 countries representing more than 40 companies .
Capt . Rado Antolovic , PhD CEO & Managing Director , DP World Maritime Services Division delivered the keynote presentation & was joined by Geir Fuglerud – Director Offshore Classification , DNV GL & Rahul Mehrotra , Director Marketing , Shelf Drilling at the inaugural session of the OJME conference having theme ' Building Reselience , Bring Agile ' organized by Innovative Concepts .
During the two-day event held at Dubai , presenters shared 20 technical presentations on wide ranging topics including market updates , the latest innovations in technology & the future trends of the Offshor Jacu Rig & Liftboat industry .
22 speakers from global Jack Up Rig & Liftboat industry with regional representation from UAE , Saudi Arabia along with international representation from Singapore , Norway , Netherlands , Aberdeen , France , USA , UK shared their well researched presentation at the conference .
Operators , Rig owners , Liftboat owners , shipyards , class societies , equipment manufacturers , rig designers , warranty surveyors , market analysts , insurance brokers participated at the OJME 2019 .
This conference has provided an important platform for enhancing cross-sectoral communication and collaboration among Jack Up Rig & Liftboat experts all over the world . The
high number of participating countries and organizations fosters an extremely productive exchange of ideas and technical information . Delegates have engaged in numerous meetings and negotiations , which enabled many to gain new knowledge and enhance their understanding of various technical aspects of the business & operations .
Apart from the focussed presentations on various topics during the two days of the conferecne , the most important segment , standardization of training for oilfield professionals was highlighted . There arose a need to form a task force committee to recommend the training needs that can allow offshore / onshore oilfield workforce to work with all E & P companies around the world .
Sand plugging for addressing the issue of different rigs getting deployed at the same location was the highlight of the conference .
The conference colcluded with a positive note to engage the industry into a much needed solution driven approach for building reselience & being agile for sustainable future .
