awesome group helped dig a new aqueduct so that the park could fix an erosion problem they had been having for a while. Safe to say that the event was a success as the trail the group cleaned up is still in great shape and the aqueduct did indeed fix the erosion problem. Thank you to everyone for coming!

Central MADD Recap
Central Make a Difference Day consisted of a clothing and toy drive through Columbus Academy and the Childhood League Center. The Childhood League Center is dedicated to providing individually-focused childcare services for children with special needs. Every year, Columbus Academy holds Kids4Kids, a service learning project involving food and clothing donations. Participants primarily included students from Bexley High School and Columbus Academy, and the event was organized by Ms. Bening and Ms. Lund of Columbus Academy and Bexley, respectively. Service Updates
Winter also brings us Make a Difference Day! This year the South region celebrated by mulching a trail in preparation for a winter holiday event/ digging an aqueduct to lead water away from a trail and cutting invasive woody plants nearby at the California Woods Nature Preserve. The Central region helped families shop for items at a clothing/toy distribution hosted by Columbus Academy. Lastly, the North region set up a toy drive where they collected and wrapped toys to give to local organizations! Thank you to everyone involved in this year’s MADDs!

South MADD Recap
On October 22 2022, 10 JCLers and one chaperone took a trip to the California Woods Nature Preserve to help Cincinnati Parks with their project of building a new aqueduct and refining areas in the woods. The group first helped pour sand onto the base of some stairs on a trail so that it would be easier for people to climb the stairs. Next, the
at the Childhood League Center to “shop” for items for free. After shopping was done, the remaining items were sent to STOWE Mission, where they were redistributed. Over 30 families were served!
