Central Gubernator Ali Winter, Wellington Too often we appreciate the heroes of mythology, while not truly admiring the monsters. So here is my bit of admiration: here's to all of the awesome monsters. This creature had the head and chest of a man, but the legs and tail of a horse. Centuar This three headed dog guarded the gate the the underworld, but more importantly inspired Fluffy. Cerberus really does prove that dogs are a man's best friend, and scary cold-hearted men like Hades get along great with a violent three headed dog. Cerberus The chimera is a lion with a snake for a tail and a goat head sticking out of its back. It also breathes fire. It took Pegasus to bring this awesome monster down. Chimera Harpies have the head of a woman and the wings and claws of a bird. They are the literal representation of punishment and pain and would spend their time torturing people. Harpies
