Salvete Omnes!
I hope you all are having a wonderful winter season. In these next pages, you will read some articles from fellow Latin enthusiasts, and it is my hope that from this edition of the Torch, you remember never to underestimate the power and impact garnered by the JCL and the Classics. While infamously challenging, as Vergil said, "Perhaps it will be pleasing to remember these things one day (forsan et haec olim meminisse iuvabit)" (Aen. 1.203).
Throughout these past years, I have learned truly the power and unifying force of the Junior Classical League. I have met some of my best friends from all over the nation and it will be something I will never forget.
I encourage you to treasure the little and fleeting moments at convention, and as always, don't hesitate to contact me with your feedback, submissions, and ideas! :)
