Beginner's Guide to Convention

Julia Dean and Joseph Delamerced, Summit Country Day

TIP 1: BRING A LATIN CLUB TO CONVENTION.

Don't forget.

TiP 2: KNOW THE PROGRAM

In the days before Convention, the official program will be released. The program has the schedule for all the events, and you should know which events pertain to you. Plan to give a Latin Recitationi? Make sure you know when the sign-up times are and when you're supposed to show up to deliver your speech. On the Certamen team? Make sure you don't oversleep. Like eating? Make sure you know when meals begin. Speaking of food....

TIP 3: EAT.

Snacks are highly recommended. Ib ring a small bag that's only filled with snacks. What? I like eating.

The Ohio Junior Classical League holds an annual Convention every year in central Ohio. This year, the Sixty-Seventh OJCL State Convention will be held at the Crowne Plaza Columbus North-Worthington from February 24-26. The Convention is full of activities for any type of classy Classicist. If you're going to have your first Convention in 2017, there are a few tips to know.

Julia Dean and Joseph Delamerced are students who will be attending their fifth OJCL State Convention, and they somehow believe that this is enough to qualify them to make a guide.
