Publications

Have you published multiple issues of a newspaper for your local JCL chapter? If so, you should contact NJCL Editor Angela Kubicke ([email protected]) and send her and NJCL Publications Chair Caitlin Johnston your issues by June 1st, 2017. The contest is judged based on the quality of the articles (make sure to proofread them to avoid any typos!), number of issues submitted, and the effectiveness of the graphic design.

4.

Social Media

If you run a Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or Pinterest account for your Latin club, you can be recognized for your hard work maintaining these social media accounts. Contact NJCL Publications Chair Caitlin Johnson ([email protected]) to enter any active accounts in the contest. You will receive points for every month you update your accounts, so make sure to email Ms. Johnson at the end of each month with links to any new posts you've made. Awards will be given both to chapters which use multiple social media accounts effectively and to the chapter with the best presence on each single platform, so don't worry if you don't have accounts on all five eligible sites.

5.

Website

This contest recognizes local chapter websites. To enter a club website, fill out the form posted by NJCL Communications Coordinator Shay Pezzulo in the JCL Secretaries and Webmasters Facebook group each month you make updates to your site. As with the social media contest, you can earn currency points just for making changes to your site. All the sites will be judged at the end of the year based on quality of design and the amount of information included.
