Often viewed as “dying” and useless, many students choose pursue other languages such as Chinese or Spanish. Any good Latin student would be able to ramble on for hours about the uses of Latin and why its study is more than necessary. However, most people’s opinions won’t change. Still, it is our duty as Latin enthusiasts to keep the language alive and the OJCL community growing. We can make Latin as popular as other world languages if we try. When our mundane yet accurate explanations about the advantages of Latin fail, we can still expand our community through inspiring others. Let other stude
