And I have to say, being both a
student at the school that originated “crab
people” and a part of the squad that
modified it into the iconic “corn people”
chant is perhaps my greatest life
accomplishment to date.
Seriously though, I used to ponder
why it was that JCLers were so distraught
over leaving states and nationals for the
last time. I never understood why saying
goodbye to this incredibly strange group
of people was so emotional. But I’m
happy to say that, even though that time
is a long way off for me, I do now.
