5 Ways to Improve
Club Membership
1st Vice President Hanna Zandvakili, Indian Hill
As 1st Vice President of the OJCL, I understand the challenges that come with
trying to boost Latin Club membership. It can sometimes be tough to get motivated
students to join Latin Club and maintain high student involvement. However, there
are many fun and easy ways to promote membership and involvement in Latin
Club. So, here are the five best ways to boost your Latin Club’s membership.
Plan a club social
event. Toga bowling
is always a hit, and
is a great way to
blend classics and
fun.
Hand out Latin Club
cookies. Having a sweet
homemade treat
sponsored by the Latin
Club will help get the
word out about how
awesome Latin Club
really is! Plus, people
love food.
Plan community service
events for your club.
Everyone needs service
hours and loves helping out
the community, so planning
Latin service events will
really encourage people to
become more involved in
Latin Club.
Create official Latin Club social
media. Social media just
became a part of the OJCL 1st
VP’s duties and it has greatly
helped the OJCL with
membership and publicity.
Publicizing fun things your
local club does will encourage
people to join. For an example
of a local club Instagram page,
check @scdlatin.
Make a cute club
promotional video!
Videos showing the
most fun parts of
Latin Club helps get
people excited.
