What is "Service of the Season?"
2nd Vice President Julia Dean, Summit Country Day
This year, the OJCL has started sponsoring a fantastic new contest: The Service of
the Season Contest! You may have seen posts on the website or official OJCL social
media and asked yourself the question, “What exactly is this Service of the Season
Contest?” Well, here’s the answer.
The Service of the Season Contest is a chance for your Latin Club to be rewarded
for the awesome service you do throughout the year as a club. Say you and your Latin
club participate in a canned food drive. This can be submitted to Service of the Season!
Say you do anything (literally ANYTHING) related to service. This can be submitted to
Service of the Season! WOW!
Here’s how it works in four easy steps:
1. Do some awesome service activity with
your club.
2. Submit a write up about the event (under
200 words) including attendance, date of
event, and details on the activity.
3. Include a high quality picture from the
activity with your submission.
4. Email everything to [email protected].

Attendees of the NJCL Convention at Miami University
participate in the Service Colloquium, making blankets from
grocery bags. Organizing an event like this with your club
would be an awesome submission for the Service of the
Season contest!
