Semis recap:
The novice team was up against an imposing Massachusetts certamen squad, boasting well prepared grammarians. Ohio was able to grab the first question to get on the board, but they were eventually beaten by those they sought to destroy. Nice work novice! Come back hungry for next year!
The advanced team, a well experienced group of veterans, was excited to get a shot at returning to the finals for a second year in a row. They faced the returning champions, Florida, in a well fought match that the current champs ended up winning. However, Ohio gave them a great run for their money, staying close for the first half of the match, and representing the state well. Nice job boys! Show them who's boss next year!
Thanks to all who tried out and competed for a spot on the Ohio teams! If you are interested in playing at nationals next year in Troy, Alabama, talk to your sponsor or email Mr. Dean, the certamen coach, for more information!
