Ohio River Vally Northeast (ORVNE) Segment of the Louisville Loop: Survey Responses Dimensional suitability Very important Connectivity Very important Constructability Very important Character/Experience Very important Safety Very important Environmental/historic site impacts Somewhat important Supported by previous planning Not important Q8: Of the nine considerations listed above, please identify which ones you feel are the THREE MOST IMPORTANT considerations for this study area (please mark only three): Connectivity, Constructability, Safety Q9: Are there additional issues and considerations that should be considered for this route? Bicyclists using this transportation corridor face a daunting challenge. Shoulder bike lanes offer bicyclist an opportunity to travel this stretch somewhat safely. A shared use path offers the potential for serious conflict. Large groups of bicyclists use The Scenic Byway, River Road regularly. If these groups of riders are forced to a shared-use path, encounters with families with strollers and pets could be problematic. Q10: What do you feel is the most important opportunity or challenge for this section of the Louisville Loop route? Safety of pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists. Q11: Please provide any additional information you would like to share with Louisville Metro Parks and the project planning team. The shoulder bike lanes work well on Southwestern Parkway and Campground road. I feel they would work just as well on River Road. #35 Q1: How would you describe yourself? Mark all that apply.
