Ohio River Vally Northeast (ORVNE) Segment of the Louisville Loop: Survey Responses Q10: What do you feel is the most important opportunity or challenge for this section of the Louisville Loop route? Ensuring a safe route protected from traffic and avoiding car crossovers of the path as much as possible. This route will be very popular with cyclist, both commuters & recreational cyclists. Therefore, I'd love to see separation of cyclists from joggers/walkers is some way to ensure safety for all users. Q11: Please provide any additional information you would like to share with Louisville Metro Parks and the project planning team. I hope there will be research done on making multi use psths more safe. The Big 4 is a fiasco for cyclists as the pedestrians pay NO attention & it makes it dangerous for all. The wide paths in Beckley Creek/Parklands work pretty well. But even the wide paths in Waterfront Park are an issue because people don't realize it's a multi use area. #9 Q1: How would you describe yourself? Mark all that apply. Louisville Loop user, Cyclist, Resident Q2: How frequently do you use the Louisville Loop? Weekly Q3: How do you use the Louisville Loop? Mark all that apply. Leisure/recreation, Walking, Bicycling, Exploring the city, Nature/wildlife viewing, Exploring Louisville's history/culture Q4: Which portions of the Louisville Loop do you use? Every single bit of it. I ride from the Big 4 Bridge to the Farnsley-Moremen Landing regularly and wish more of it was segregated from traffic.
