Week 19: Decide The Type of Birth
The second trimester is proving to be very busy. So much to do and time is passing quickly. During your Lamaze classes, daddy, you will be introduced to the different types of birthing methods. You and mommy along with the OB will choose which is the most comfortable and safest. Once you decide, now is the time also to prepare.
Week 20: Half Way Mark
Congratulations, daddy, you've reached the halfway mark! At this point look for ways to make mommy comfortable. Think about keeping her company when she's up late at night and just can't sleep. This is common for many mommy-to-be's at this point. A great idea would be to buy her a body pillow, give her a relaxing back rub, run her a bath -not too hot; bring her a warm cup of milk and a muffin. If mommy is a fan of cuddling, go for it! It may lead to an erotic nightcap. Rrrrrr.
Week 21: Baby's First Kicks!
Sometime between weeks 18 and 22, mommy-to-be will feel what she may describe as butterflies in her stomach. This is your baby making their presence known. The best times to feel their movement is when you've settled down for the night, after you have had a snack, and when you're nervous
Week 22: Anxious Much?
Daddy, if you're having second thoughts about this baby thing, especially as it gets more real, don't worry. It's normal. You may have all sorts of thoughts running through your mind. You are not alone. If its mommy's first pregnancy she is feeling a bit anxious too. Knowledge is power, daddy. Remember what you've learned in Lamaze and review those pamphlets and books. You may also want to talk to your partner and share your thoughts and feelings. It will help to make you both feel at ease. Moreover, daddy talk to family and friends who are parents and can offer you support and advise.
