In an interview, Hugh Jackman once said to me that the secret
to his happy marriage was asking himself at every decision ‘Is
this good for my marriage?’ The same concept could apply for
your health.
If you have a goal to live a healthier existence, then why not try
this: at every decision you come across ask yourself ‘is this good
for my health?’ and then make your choice accordingly. If you
only choose the options that will, indeed, enhance your health,
then before you know it you’ll be feeling and looking better than
ever! Of course, you may prescribe to the 80/20 rule (where you
aim for 80 per cent healthy decisions and 20 per cent less so),
then apply the 80/20 rule to your decision making too.
A new season is a great opportunity to start of a new way of
living. Why not try it for a week, then another week, then a
month... and see what happens to your health and happiness.
