OH! Magazine - Australian Version September 2015 | Page 4

SPRING INTO SPRING AND SET SOME NEW GOALS Right now is a great time to reassess your health and fitness goals. Book a time to check in with a fitness/health professional to see how you’re progressing with your goal achievement. If you know you’re already on track, then sit down and plot your next six or twelve months’ worth of milestones. Or if you’ve been without a goal up until now, think about setting one or a few in place. Having an end-goal to work towards can help keep you motivated. It can also help you work harder, generate results quicker and you’ll gain a sense of accomplishment when you achieve them. In a way, exercising without an end-goal is kind of like going for a drive in the car without having a destination; it can be enjoyable in itself, but it can feel even more meaningful if you know where you’re going or have a tangible reason for the journey. Of course, everybody’s different, but as with all the info we provide in these pages, it’s up to you to work out what does and doesn’t work for you. The best way to ‘use’ this magazine is simply to read it, enjoy it, apply what you think could help improve your life and health, and if that works then awesome. If it doesn’t, then move onto the next thing and try that. Life is all about being brave enough to try new things – safely, of course – so have a go, and let us know what happens.
