5 TOP TIPS
MIKE
CAMPBELL
FOR OPTIMUM HEALTH
Mike Campbell shares his top five tips for good health.
H
ere are my top tips to help you
improve and maintain your health.
1. Accept responsibility – Decide to make
change
This is obviously the place to start.
Nothing of note or duration can happen
without first acknowledging that you alone
have the responsibility for where you are
currently and for getting to where you want
to go. This now becomes a wholly
refreshing and powerful position - you can
now decide to change. No one else has the
power. Simple. Nothing more than this
yet, just own it.
2. Figure out the WHY – What’s your big
driver?
Ok, so we know you want to improve your
health, and quite possibly with this, your
life. Well, that’s exactly what we need to
find out - what is it that you really want?
You may say “To drop a few kilos and lose
the gut”, but there’s more to it. This may
actually mean “I can’t stand taking my
shirt off around others. I want the
confidence to do this and feel proud of my
body.” Think, dig, get deep. You must find
out the big why behind what you want.
Only then will you have something
powerful enough to continually act in the
ways that will help you get there. Once you
have this, more specific and short term
goals can come in.
which to get there. This involves the
details - what goals and indicators must
be met along the way? Which behaviours
must you drop? Which ones must you start
exhibiting consistently? Who do you need
around
you?
Coaches,
trainers,
accountability buddies, therapists? Take
note here that if you could have done this
on your own, you would have by now. It’s
time to drop the ego, get out of your own
and way ask for help where you need it.
4. Execute with relentless consistency –
train, eat, sleep, relax, repeat!
Now to follow through; the actualisation of
the behaviours that will get you to your
why. Seeing as we’re talking about better
health, let’s assume those are as follows:
Train, exercise and move with purpose and
consistency

3. Plan it out – Detail the plan, build a team
and work out the necessary behaviours
