KEEPING YOUR PETS
COOL THIS SUMMER
My Pet Warehouse provides these helpful tips to ensure your
furry and feathery family members keep their cool this summer.
ummer is something many of us
look forward to – long days spent
at the beach, or at the pool, with frosty
drinks in hand, lots of fresh air and
sunshine. But for our pets, the feeling
may not be mutual. While we spend our
days in air-conditioned comfort at the
office or out and about with friends and
family, they are often in the backyard at
home alone, looking for shady relief from
the scorching heat. The good news?
There are lots of ways to help keep your
pets cool this summer.
Small pets need extra care
When it comes to rabbits, guinea pigs
and birds, heat can have a big impact.
The safest place for your small pets on
hot days is indoors. Buy an extra pet
drink dispenser to hook on to their hutch
and fill it with icy cold water to last
throughout the day. An ice-pack tucked
under their straw also helps.
Chill out in style
