Book Worms:

Get down to your local library for the summer readers events. Most local libraries will have a programme of activities replacing the term time Rattle & Rhyme for you to get involved with. There are usually craft sessions as well as reward schemes for how many books your little readers can get through with a series of certificates to aim towards.

Rainy Days Ideas

Be brave - go puddle jumping and dance in the rain!

Or for those who like to stay dry…

* Make a blanket fort using laundry airers and cushions off the sofa

* Have an indoor picnic

* Have a mad hatter’s tea party – serve juice from the teapot, make jam sandwiches and play some silly games

* Make a mask – a paper plate can be painted or stuck onto, to make a huge range of animals
