Outside Craft

•No mess - A cup of water and a paint brush & let them “paint” the patio

•Mildly messy - Get some giant chalks and draw yourselves a hop-scotch or activity trail

•Go mad! - Messy Feet – If you have a large cardboard box ready for the recycling, or some old wallpaper open it out on the lawn and put out some squeezy paint on an old baking tray.

Let them walk through and climb in the paint making their marks across the card. Have baby wipes or a washing up bowl ready for cleaning up at the end

Sensory Play

Get messy with sand, water, mud or even foods like dry rice, cereals or lentils, or cooked foods like spaghetti.

Use a washing up bowl, a large tray or your old baby bath to contain your play and introduce toys to play around a theme.

Try diggers, duplo blocks & soil to make a building site, coloured water with fish or frogs to make a pond, or mini-beasts & dinosaurs to find hiding in the sand. You can find lots more ideas online.
