Volunteers Needed Can you help to keep our services going? Would you like to help & support others?  ‘Bumps & Babies & Tots too’ group leader—We are urgently seeking volunteers to help run our ‘Bumps, Babies & Tots too’ group which is aimed at mums to be and new parents with babies as well as older children. On the day, volunteers are required to sort out refreshments, set up the room and welcome attendees, make drinks and put everything away afterwards. You will need to be warm and friendly and have the ability to put nervous new parents at their ease, building confidence through encouragement as they get to grips with the challenges of parenting and making new friends and developing their own peer support networks. You need to be willing to facilitate the group occasionally to help new attendees join in and also to ensure all parenting styles are welcomed and respected, in a nonjudgemental manner. The group is well attended and much valued by local parents. The group meets on Wednesday mornings 10-12pm at Dudley Wood, St John the Evangelist church hall, Dudley Wood, West Midlands, DY2 0DT. Volunteering for any NCT role for 12 hours or more a year entitles you to apply for a reduced membership rate of £26. If none of the above suit but you are interested in volunteering do still get in contact as other opportunities may become available. Help on an ad-hoc basis is also welcome!
