Our home on the road consists of our 2011 Holden Colorado towing our MDC off-road camper trailer, accompanied by our Oz-Tent. We have modified our Colorado and camper over the years to suit our ever-changing needs. The one thing we have learnt is to keep your set-up minimalistic and basi c however, this doesn’t mean you need to pass when it comes to creature comforts. Since leaving “everyday” life back in October, 2011 our lives have been an absolute adventure. Our travels thus far have seen us venture into every state and territory minus Tasmania (sorry Tassie, we are coming!) As we cross items off our bucket list, the list doesn’t seem to shrink in fact it seems to grow daily. This proves how much Australia has to offer. We are so lucky to do what we do. In five short years it feels like we have lived numerous and varied lives. Our advice to people wanting to do 54  Offroading Online Magazine the same is simple: we firmly believe in people doing it their way. If you want to save enough so you can travel without working, if you want to work along the way, if you want to go for three months or three years. Do it! It’s your life. The way we envisaged travelling was not always how it happened but what it comes down to for us now is that it has become our lifestyle. If we want to stay in one spot for 12 months we do it, for us this is sustainable. We don’t want to put an expiry date on our travels and we don’t want to live a life designed by someone else. Even though sometimes we dream of a place to call ours, we quickly realise we do. While it may not be the “Great Australian Dream” of a suburban brick home with a white picket fence. It is our “Australian Dream”. When people along our travels ask us; “Where’s home?” We simply reply Australia. Australia is our home; every inch of it.
