DAY 4
CAMP SAVUTI TO SANGO SAFARI CAMP
DURATION : 4 HOURS
DISTANCE : 120KM
The road south from Savuti to Mababe Gate is quite sandy in parts and will take
you about 2.5 hours.
After exiting the gate turn immediately right. This road takes you to the gravel
road between Mababe village and Khwai. The road is corrugated in parts so
please take care. You will come to a turn off at S19 08.350 E23 45.954, you then
need to take the track to the left which leads to a water crossing at S19 08.509
E23 46.032 - there is a track around the crossing to the left and this is unlikely to
be more than tyre depth deep, however if you are unsure, walk the crossing
After the crossing follow the gravel road towards Khwai village and after 2km
you will see a turn to the left at S19 09.617 E23 45.499.
