Since 2010, Monte Durham has dished out
advice and dolled up brides as fashion director
on TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta. After
settling in Alexandria nearly 25 years ago and
building a career in image consulting, Monte
now flies back and forth to film the show, all
the while staying busy in his adopted
hometown. In the spring of 2020, look for the
opening of Monte’s self-named salon in Old
Town. Here, Monte shares about his favorite

PLANNING TIPS
While I can be over the top in
personality and dress, in my per-
sonal life I’m a pretty simple guy. [My
co-star] Lori wore a custom outfi t that
matched Jackie O’s. We had a civil
ceremony in D.C., a blessing at St.
Paul’s and an intimate brunch at
Morrison House. The theme
was “lucky us!”
