In some ways , 2023 is a new start for Yamaha . Fabio Quartararo had plenty to test during preseason , including two new engines , new aero packages , a new chassis and swingarm – a far cry from this time a year ago , when the M1 was unchanged . Second , the bike ’ s huge deficiency last year – a lack of top speed – was addressed with Franco Morbidelli able to defend against the faster Ducatis along the 1.1km back straight in Argentina , in both outings there . But the Iwata factory has had a tough opening . Quartararo is still struggling to find a base setting and doesn ’ t feel fully comfortable on . New aerodynamics and a new frame will be tested at the one-day test after this weekend .
En cierto modo , 2023 es un nuevo comienzo para Yamaha . Fabio Quartararo tuvo mucho que probar durante la pretemporada , incluyendo dos nuevos motores , nuevos paquetes aerodinámicos , un nuevo chasis y un basculante . El gran déficit de la moto el año pasado -la falta de velocidad punta- se ha resuelto tras ver a Franco Morbidelli ser capaz de defenderse de las Ducati más rápidas a lo largo de la contrarrecta de 1,1 km de longitud en Argentina , tanto en el Tissot Sprint como en la carrera del domingo .
