Fernandez came into MotoGP™ in 2022 as the rookie to watch . But he ultimately delivered very little when riding for Tech3 KTM , amassing just 14 points from the entire year . It was a disappointing return for a rider who had amazed the previous year , when he came within four points of winning Moto2™ in his rookie year . The eight wins amassed that year were more than even Marc Marquez had managed when a rookie in a similar position . Fernandez has a fresh start in 2023 , however , with RNF Aprilia , where he is expected to reignite his career .
