Viñales ’ career appeared to be over midway through 2021 when Yamaha spectacularly cut ties with him after a deeply troubled Styrian GP . But Aprilia offered him a lifeline . After a period of adaptation , the 28-year old was a real challenger once again in the summer of 2022 . A rider that won one race with Suzuki , the 2013 Moto3™ World Champion never quite lived up to initial expectations at Yamaha , despite winning eight races over four and a half years with the Iwata factory . But he appears comfortable and content in his new home , and it ' s now time to deliver .
