The big unknown of preseason . If the timesheets were the only thing to be considered , it could be assumed KTM are in a world of trouble . Brad Binder was 14th at Sepang , new signing Jack Miller 18th . But neither rider was overly fazed , and pointed to the substantial testing work that was completed as reason to be positive . Both riders , plus satellite man Pol Espargaro , worked their way through testing two engines as well as two aero packages across the three days , plus a myriad of other parts . Fine tuning little details was still some way off . “ It was purely trying things to get as much information as possible ,” said Binder . “ We ’ re now getting it narrowed down to what our package will look like .” Finding speed on corner exit remains a priority . On the other side of the garage , Miller admitted , “ we hit a wall a bit ” toward the end of the Sepang test . “ I ’ m just suffering mid-corner , with corner speed , and getting the thing off the corner .”

Mas nenhum piloto ficou muito preocupado , optando antes por apontar o muito trabalho de ensaio que foi levado a cabo como lado positivo . Ambos os pilotos , mais o satélite Pol Espargaró , trabalharam com dois motores e dois pacotes aerodinâmicos ao longo dos três dias , bem como com mais uma série de componentes . Afinar pequenos detalhes , ainda assim , ficou um pouco aquém . “ Tratou-se puramente de testar coisas para conseguir reunir o máximo de informação possível ,” disse Binder . “ Estamos agora a trabalhar com vista ao que vai ser o nosso pacote .” Encontrar velocidade à saída da curva continua a ser a prioridade . Do outro lado da garagem , Miller admitiu : “ estagnámos um pouco ” no final do teste de Sepang . “ Estou com dificuldades a meio da curva , com velocidade em curva , e a tirar a moto da curva .”
