2023 Season
It has been a really strange season for me . The first accident , in the first Sprint , mentally , was a disaster because in my mind I was a World Champion contender . And afterwards , in Barcelona , once again . After this injury , it ’ s important to restart , to reset and to check how my feeling is on the bike . I come back after three months and there , arrives some problems with my 2023 bike . The feeling was not really cool at the start , it was impossible for me to improve because when I came back , I pushed more to close this gap and in the end , nothing has changed . I have to understand better the strongest point of the bike and to stay calm to make a step forward .
Ducati
I was out for a lot of time , and I could see the good speed of Ducati . Especially in this second part of the season Jorge [ Martin ] is so strong , he ’ s incredible . At the moment for my style , I haven ’ t made a lot of kilometres with the bike . Probably in the future Ducati will be better again , I ’ m very curious to see how the 2024 bike is because maybe it will be again different . So let ’ s see if I can bring again the feeling of the 2022 because for me it was a good bike .
About the future
Next year is crucial for me . I have to have a good season , but the pressure is always the same . Also , this year I had pressure and also two years ago . I know there are a lot of Ducati riders that are fast and that all of these riders want to sit on my bike , it ’ s normal . But I know my level , I know what I can do and it ’ s just a question of time .
