No one in Grand Prix racing has suffered like the eight-time World Champion over the past three years . Prior to 2020 , Marquez had won everything , claiming the 125cc title in 2010 , the Moto2™ title in 2012 and the MotoGP™ crown at his first attempt in 2013 . He went on to dominate the sport in subsequent years , racking up five further MotoGP™ titles . But a crash at the first race of 2020 broke and arm and set off a chain of events that have prevented him from operating at his best ever since . But a full winter of training sets him up for a big year in 2023 .

Noch nie zuvor hat ein Spitzenathlet im Grand-Prix-Rennsport leiden müssen , wie der achtfache Weltmeister in den letzten drei Jahren . Vor 2020 hatte Marquez alles gewonnen , was zu gewinnen war : 2010 war er 125ccm-Weltmeister , 2012 in der Moto2™ . Seinen ersten MotoGP™- Titel gewann er 2013 als Rookie . Er avancierte zum Dominator der Szene und gewann weitere fünf MotoGP™ WM-Titel . 2020 stürzte er beim ersten Rennen des Jahres und Marquez brach sich seinen Arm so schlimm , das dies nur der Anfang einer Kettenreaktion war , die ihn bislang nicht zu alter Form zurück finden ließ . Wenigstens lief die Saisonvorbereitung im Winter 22 / 23 für ihn nach Plan .
