Welcome to DELANO
Greetings! As mayor of Delano, I want to welcome
you to our city as a new resident, longtime community
member, or visitor alike. I hope you will fi nd this city on
the river as friendly, vibrant, and community-oriented
as I believe it to be.
Delano’s River Street and Bridge Avenue have seen
some changes in the last few years, improving our
downtown experience. Dotted with restaurants, shops,
businesses, a brewery, and outdoor community spaces
downtown; Delano provides amenities for all ages and
encourages a fl ourishing sense of community.
2020 will be one of our busiest and best years yet.
Multiple businesses opening in the West Metro Business
Park as well as additional infrastructure will begin
construction; providing more employment opportunities
within city limits. New homes will begin construction in
the Highland Ridge and Liberty Landing developments.
The splash pad opens for a third season featuring a new
shade structure that was donated to the community.
Delano will continue to provide improved amenities to
our extensive parks and recreation system.
With new residents joining us, we hope to continue our
welcoming community and to gain more participants
in our community-wide events. This year has goals
to continue to improve Delano and to support our
community.
To the traveler and resident alike, know that you are
welcomed and that Delano will always be a place you
can call home.
