Delano Snowstormers Snowmobile Club Delano Snowstormers, a local non-profit snowmobile club originally started in the early ‘70s, continues very strong and active. There are 75 memberships (family and individual) and are members of the Wright County Snowmobile Association, Minnesota United Snowmobilers Association, Delano Area Chamber of Commerce, and has DNR-Certified Youth Snowmobile Safety Instructors. Club members perform trail maintenance and development each spring and fall to establish trails to local businesses and keep links throughout the county. Groomer drivers manage grooming of 45 miles of trails with a Wright County Snowmobile Association groomer operated and maintained by Snowstormers, and use a club-owned small groomer for in-town trails. A club shelter nestled in the woods along the scenic trail route provides snowmobilers a break from their ride. Snowstormers appreciate and respect landowners’ private properties as they permit use of their land for snowmobiling. The club takes pride in keeping trail systems maintained and safe for all to ride. Snowstormers participate in community events and organize special club events, will host their annual silent auction fundraiser Dec. 5, will conduct youth snowmobile safety training on Jan. 9, 2021 and schedule club rides as trail conditions allow during the snowmobiling season. Come to Delano/Wright County and enjoy the great snowmobile trails. Trail maps are available at local businesses throughout the county. New members are always welcome.
