requesting the hearing, there shall be furnished before the hearing any evidence to be introduced, and names of witnesses and the substance of their testimony. 3.  The decision of the Licensed Officials Committee shall be subject to further appeal only to the AMHA Executive Committee. LO-020 CLASSIFICATION OF JUDGES A. Designation as an AMHA-approved judge is a privilege, not a right, bestowed by the Licensed Officials Committee according to procedures formulated by it, to individuals whose equine expertise and personal character merit the honor. An approved judge’s conduct as a member, exhibitor, breeder, and judge, as well as his/her ability, MUST be exemplary. Each approved judge’s status is subject to continual review by the Committee, and is revocable by the Committee with or without notice and formal hearing. B. Approved Judges 1. A  n Approved Judge may officiate alone at any AMHAapproved show. 2. Approved Judges must have previous judging experience and must be approved as a judge in good standing with another recognized equine breed organization. Individuals who do not meet the above criteria may qualify for approval as an Approved Judge by successfully completing the Apprentice Judge program. 3. Beginning January 1, 1995, Approved Judge cards shall be valid for one year unless revoked by the committee, and may be renewed annually provided that the Approved Judge applies for renewal and is a current Regular or Associate AMHA member and passes a rule book test and meets all other qualifications in force at that time. 4. Beginning January 1, 2004, Approved Judges must be reviewed every six (6) years by the Licensed Official Committee while in attendance of an approved AMHA Judges Seminar.
