(Amended 06-09, effective 01-10) RULES & REGULATIONS 186 CERTIFICATES The Association shall issue a Certificate of Registration based upon information submitted on proper form attesting to the qualification for registration. 186A Documents Without Signature of Recorded Owner Whenever legal title to a registered horse passes to another by reason of death of the recorded owner, by reason of foreclosure of any liens, or by any order or decree of court, or otherwise by operation of law, the Association may transfer the registration of such horse to the new owner upon: 1. Order of a court of jurisdiction or other satisfactory proof of authority for transfer; 2. Payment of the transfer fee and any reasonable cost and expenses of investigation and; 3. Satisfaction of such other requirements as may be adopted by the Association. 4. If by any order or decree of court, or otherwise by operation of law, a person is ordered or has legally agreed to comply with any request for information or signature(s) from AMHA and that person does not comply, then AMHA may proceed without the signature(s) of that person. AMHA must have backup documentation that every effort has been made to obtain the information or signature(s). (Amended 0203, effective 01-04) 186B Sale Without Certificate of Registration  If a registered horse is sold without the certificate of registration, the certificate must be surrendered by the recorded owner to the Association for cancellation. 186C Duplicate Certificates To obtain a duplicate certificate of registration, the recorded owner must file with the Association a completed affidavit satisfactorily explaining the loss of the original certificate, and pay the appropriate fee. Upon approval by the Association, a duplicate certificate, so marked, will be issued to the recorded owner. 186D Replacement Certificates To obtain a replacement for a certificate which has been torn, mutilated, soiled, or otherwise defaced, but which is identifiable, the recorded owner must submit the original certificate to the Association for identification and pay the replacement certificate fee. 56
