1. Horses are awarded a Register of Merit when they have won at least twenty (20) points in any one class. (Amended 02-11, effective 01-12) 2. For list of classes eligible for ROM see PA-030-A,B,& C. 3. When the title of “AMHA Register of Merit” is achieved, the owner of the said horse may request the proper certificate from the AMHA office; after verification, the certificate shall be prepared and for awarded to the owner of the said horse. (Amended 07-13-02, effective 01-03) PA-026 YOUTH TITLES AND AWARDS A. A photocopy of the youth’s birth certificate may be required to receive any AMHA High Point awards. SHOW RULES B. Youth Honor Roll (Established 1989) The youth and his/her horse in each age group earning the most points in each youth event during that show year (from January 1 to December 31) will be the year’s High Point earner for that event and an appropriate award will be given. Youths and their horses placing second through tenth will receive an appropriate certificate. A minimum of six (6) points must be earned to be eligible for this award and/or certificate. C. Youth Champion (Established 1989) 1. To be eligible for this recognition, the youth must comply with the ownership requirements as specified in Rule YD-010-C. 2. Points toward an AMHA Youth championship need not be earned in any one year. They may be accumulated until the youth reaches the age limit. 3. The title AMHA Youth Champion shall be awarded after the youth has earned a total of fifty (50) or more points in youth competition in official AMHA shows provided: a. That the points have been won in ten (10) or more shows under ten (10) or more judges. b. That at least twenty (20) of these points have been earned in Showmanship, and of these twenty (20), a minimum of ten (10) points must have been won in either class A or B shows. (See Rule PA-010-B). c. That at least fifteen (15) of these points have been won in performance and halter classes with a minimum of five (5) points each having been earned in at least two (2) categories of performance. d. The following youth halter/performance events have been divided into four (4) categories.
