BYLAWS (B) Lifetime Members Lifetime Members are those persons who own an undivided or community property interest in and have registered with the Association one or more American Miniature Horses, who have applied for and been accepted to membership in the Association, by the Board of Directors or their designee and who have paid their lifetime fee. Lifetime members shall pay no annual dues. For purposes of these Bylaws the term “Regular Member” shall be deemed to include “Lifetime Member,” except where otherwise specified. (C) Associate Members Associate Members are those persons who are interested in the objects and purposes of the Association but who do not own a Miniature Horse at the time of application for membership, who have applied for and been accepted to membership in the Association, by the Board of Directors or their designee and who are not in arrears in payment of their annual dues. (D) Youth Members Youth Members are those persons eighteen (18) and under who are interested in the objects and purposes of the Association but who may or may not have a Miniature at the time of application for membership. For AMHA show purposes, the age of an individual on January 1 shall be maintained throughout the entire calendar year. (Amended 02-06, effective 01-07) (E) Syndicates and Corporations Syndicates and corporations shall have no voting rights. (Amended 12-09, effective 01-10) (F) Non-Transferable Membership shall not be transferable. Section 3, Dues Each Regular and Associate Member shall pay annual dues and each Lifetime Member shall pay a lifetime fee to the Association, in such amounts as the Annual Meeting may prescribe. Annual dues shall not be prorated. Renewals of annual membership fees are due the 1st of the month of the anniversary date 12 months from the initiation date of the membership. If not renewed the member shall be automatically dropped from membership in the Association, and thereafter membership may be restored as provided by Section 4 of this Article. Membership for spouses of Regular and Lifetime Members shall be allowed by payment of a single fee, but not more than two (2) memberships per fee shall be allowed. Any person (owner or owners, amateurs, youth, trainers) who is showing at an AMHA Championship or World Show must be an AMHA member in good standing.
