2.  All alleged violations must be substantiated by official records, show management observation, or other recorded visual evidence. B. Ownership requirements Any horse exhibited in amateur classes must be owned or leased by the amateur individually or jointly, the amateur’s family (spouse, mother, father, brother, sister, niece, nephew, son, daughter, grandchild, grandparent, legal ward, in-laws, step-children, step-parents, step-siblings), or solely owned corporation, ranch or farm. (Amended 12-6-03, effective 01-04) 1. Such ownership must be evidenced by the records of the Association and the Certificate of registration of such horse must show such person as the owner by proper endorsement of the Association at the time the horse is entered in any Amateur class; or the record of lease must be on file at the AMHA office. C. Points: a contestant may exhibit more than one horse, however, the points earned by the Amateur with each horse will be compiled separately. 1. Points will be complied on a one horse/one amateur basis in amateur events, with the exception of showmanship where only the exhibitor is judged. The horse is merely a prop to show the showmanship ability of the amateur exhibitor. 2. Points are to be awarded on the same basis used in the regular division. 3. For World High Point Awards, points will be compiled on amateurs from January 1 to December 31. 4. In the event a horse is sold, a new start must be made by the new owner. 5. Points earned in Amateur Showmanship class shall remain with the exhibitor. D. Showmanship rules for amateurs are the same as outlined for youth showmanship. See CL-080 for showmanship rules. 151 SHOW RULES E. At local shows, optional Amateur Grand Championship Halter classes may be offered for stallions, mares and geldings. Classes eligible to compete in the appropriate sex division will be Amateur Level 1 and 2, and AOTE. (See PA020-C. (Amended 12-08-01, effective 01-02) Points will be awarded to Amateur Grand and Reserve Champions on the same basis as outlined in PA-015 and PA020.
