CL-055 OTHER HARNESS CLASSES
A. Classes in all divisions of a driving competition may be
offered for singles, pairs, tandems, unicorns, and four, six
and eight-in-hands.
1. Single Fine Harness: open to a horse being shown
in a viceroy or fine harness buggy with appropriate
light harness. To be judged on quality of performance,
presence, suitability of horse, type and conformation, IN
THAT ORDER. Gaits: walk, animated trot, show your
horse both ways of the ring. Cross entry between Formal
Park Driving and Fine Harness class are acceptable.
Horses shall stand quietly and shall rein back at the
direction of the judge.

2. President’s Touch of Class: open to single horse or ANY
multiple hitch.
a. The essence of this competition is the word “elegance”.
The winner will be the entry which, in the opinion of the
judge, presents the most elegant effect. This will include
vehicle, harness, horse, driver, passengers, etc., but
above all, general impression. Performance will not be
judged unless it detracts from the elegance of the entry.
Multiple horses must perform as a single unit.
b. Any type harness is acceptable, but should be appropriate
for the type of vehicle or class specifications.
c. Horses are to enter the ring at a trot and are to be judged
at a walk and trot both ways of the ring. Horses shall
stand quietly.

CL-060 OBSTACLE CLASSES HALTER/DRIVING
A. The obstacle course must be posted at the Show Office not
less than (2) two hours prior to the class. Horses must be not
less than (2) two years of age for Halter Obstacle and no less
than (3) three years of age for Obstacle Driving. The course
designer may not exhibit in obstacle classes.
B. Class to be judged on performance and way of going with
emphasis on manners throughout course. Entries will be
evaluated on responsiveness and willingness, plus general
attitude.
C.
Maximum time 60 seconds per obstacle; judges are
encouraged to advance on to the next obstacle any horse
taking excessive time at an obstacle. Horse is to be penalized

B. Antique Vehicle Class: open to single horse or any multiple
hitch whose vehicle has wooden wheels. (May be restored
vehicle or reproduction.) Turnouts will be judged 60% on
appropriateness of vehicle, harness, horses(s) and dress,
and 40% on performance. Multiples must perform as a unit.
Gaits: Walk, Pleasure Trot, and Working Trot both ways of
the ring. Horses shall stand quietly and shall rein back at the
