National Partnerships
Biggest Back to
School Appeal ever!
This year we achieved our highest fundraiser
ever, something that truly speaks to Our
Purpose and shows when each of us does our
bit, together we can really help make bigger
things happen for those in the community
who need help and through education we can
make a huge difference to their futures.
This year highlighted the individual
achievements around our stores and with
our customers, whether that was Pam (Team
Member) from Officeworks Nowra (NSW)
– the highest fundraising team member or
a customer making a $2000 donation at
Officeworks Bendigo (Vic) because he wanted
students to have access to the education he
missed out on. It shows that by supporting
education, we have an impact on people’s
lives beyond the students we sponsor.
You may not ever get the opportunity to meet
the students who have been sponsored by
Officeworks, but during those times when they
are having a tough time or not sure if someone
believes in them, they will think of us and know
that there people out that supporting them
and wanting them to achieve amazing things.
For most of the Appeal, Officeworks Lewisham
(NSW) led the way but was overtaken by
Officeworks Highett (Vic) at the last moments.
Watch out Highett — your status as the highest
fundraising store is being challenged by
Lewisham with Officeworks Punchbowl (NSW)
not far behind. Looking forward to seeing which
other teams challenge these teams next year.
Sponsoring a
Smith Family classroom
Seeing the incredible support from
customers during the Back to School
Appeal, the OLT decided that as an
organisation, we should do our bit to help
make bigger things for disadvantaged
students. In 2019, we will sponsor 25 Smith
Family students to help them make bigger
things happen, bringing the total number
of students sponsored to 1142 students.
