Credit Recovery Options
▶ Evening School Program

The Evening High School Program has been established as an option for credit recovery for current 11th and
12th grade students. This program is offered to students who need to retake a course or need additional
credits to graduate on time. Only “D” and “F” grades can be repeated. English Language Learners in the
11th and 12th grade who have not had the opportunity to take a graduation requirement may enroll. ALSO:
10th graders with parent permission and school counselor approval may take “enrichment” courses.
▶ Summer School Program

Central Summer School provides courses in credit recovery, enrichment/acceleration, Extended School
Year, English language development, and CAHSEE preparation. Senior Graduation Summer School will
be offered to seniors who need credits for graduation or need to pass the CAHSEE exams.
▶ Online Learning Program

The Online Learning Program provides schools a flexible learning management system to improve
student achievement. Courses are rigorous (UC a-g approved) and interactive, insuring students are
engaged in the learning process. This program is primarily offered to students who need to retake a
course or need credits to graduate on time, but is open to all high school students based on enrollment
openings and approval from their counselor and parent.
